San Pedro de Atacama is a small Andean town sorrounded by the Atacama desert, the highest desert in the world, and by the Andes, creating incredible landscapes.
While this is supposed to be the driest town on earth, when I arrived it rained a little, and the skies were unusually clouded, but the atmosphere was even more incredible... except for the stars. San Pedro is one of the best places to observe stars, but while i stayed nights were clouded and sadly we missed this incredible show.

The Death Valley
In the Atacama desert lies the Death Valley, an area of spectacular rock formations, from which we saw an amazing sunset, when the colour of the sun changes the whole landscape

Up in the Andes, we waited for sunrise while watching geysers go off... the temperature went from freezing to very hot in just over an hours, and we bathed in a natural pool of hot water just by the mountains...
